Brian Camposano
Brian Camposano is a Florida native, born and raised in Marco Island, Florida. After graduating from Lely High School in 2001, he moved to Gainesville to attend the University of Florida (UF). As an undergraduate student at UF, he was an active member of the Lambda Chi Alpha fraternity on campus and volunteered in the Herpetology Department of the Florida Museum of Natural History (FLMNH). In 2005, he received a B.S. degree in Wildlife Ecology and Conservation.
Brian is currently seeking a Master of Science degree in
Interdisciplinary Ecology in the School of Natural Resources and
Environment. In addition, he is employed in the FLMNH Department of
Herpetology, where he works with Dr. Kenneth Krysko
(co-chair of his
thesis advisory committee) updating specimen records under the
Everglades National Park Grant and standardizing the herpetology
database for geo-referencing of species’ distributions. Brian’s thesis
research focuses on the morphology and geographic distributions of
native and exotic Anole lizards (Anolis spp.) in Florida.
