Spring Peeper (Pseudacris crucifer)
Size:
Adult Spring Peepers range in size from 3/4 to 1 1/4 inches long.
Description:
Adult Spring Peepers may be yellowish, brownish, gray, or olive, and have a dark "X" shaped marking on the back (the mark may not be a perfect "X").
Range:
Eastern US (as far west as Minnesota in the north and eastern Texas in the south), but NOT in peninsular Florida
Breeding Season:
Winter, beginning as early as November
Call:
