Travis
Blunden completed a Master of Science (non-thesis) degree in Wildlife
Ecology and Conservation in May 2010. Travis's research involved two
of his primary interests - herps and habitat restoration. Working
within the 25,000 acre Duette Park in Manatee County, Travis had the
opportunity to observe the progress of a large scale scrub restoration
program. Travis trapped reptiles, amphibians and small mammals in
order to evaluate the response of the herpetofauna and small mammal
communities to scrub restoration treatments. Travis is currently
working as a Biologist with the Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation
Commission at the Half Moon Wildlife Management Area.
